Songs playing after closing app.

Hi, I am using a OnePlus 12 android phone. When a song is playing and I completely close the app, the app doesn't fully close and the song continues to play. I can't access the app from the "open apps" carousel because my phone thinks it is closed. The only way to stop the music is to force stop the app or to open it again and pause the next song.
